Karen Noel is General Partner, Legal and Operations since January 2017.
She oversees all the legal aspects of the Management Company’s operations. She assists the management team on its financing, refinancing and exit operations and is responsible for the fundraising’s legal aspects. She also helps portfolio companies.
Before working for Partech, she was a Partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel until 2016. She was one of the leaders in venture capital operations in digital and life sciences in France, Europe and the United States, in addition to providing consulting services for entrepreneurs and investment funds.
Karen has played a decisive role in numerous recent financing rounds and IPOs in new technologies. She has advised JP Morgan, Citigroup and William Blair during Talend’s debut on the Nasdaq, after having provided support for the IPOs of Gensight and Cerenis Therapeutics on Euronext, as well as DBV Technologies’ listing on the Nasdaq. She also advised Vestiaire Collective in its recent €58million financing and Qapa in its €11 million financing round led by Index Ventures.
Karen was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1998. She graduated from University Panthéon Assas (Paris II) in 1995 with a LL.M. in Business and Economic Law and from ESSEC Business School in 1996.
Karen has 4 children, she is passionate about mentoring and education and a keen tea drinker.
